| 2013-2355 | 18:55:04 | RM911 CORRECTION: According to the Chicago Tribune article below, this incident involved only one person being shot, a 24-year-old man who was shot by police after exchanging gunfire with police during a foot chase. Our CAD entry and original photo caption reflected that there were two people shot at Thorndale and IL-83. This happened for two reasons. First, a RM911 source reported two shot at this location based on how he interpreted the scanner traffic. A 2nd RM911 source who was nearby then sent a photo from the scene and stated there was a person DOA inside the vehicle. That would not have been accurate however, as the article states the man was transported alive to Alexian Brothers Medical Center.
